The home team returned in the second half and immediately increased their lead. In the 48th minute of play, face-to-face with Marcio, Jobson fired the ball into the Atletico-GO goal. In the 65th minute, Loco Abreu converted on a penalty kick, scoring his team's third goal of the night.
Atletico-GO finally got on the scoreboard in the 83rd minute when Juninho dribbled past the Botafogo defense and drove the ball past ace keeper Jefferson. The team scored again in the second minute of stoppage time when Robston stormed down the field on a fast break and slammed the ball past Jefferson into the upper left corner of the Botafogo goal.
The result keeps Atletico-GO in fifteenth place with 36 points. In the 34th round of play, the team will receive Internacional on November 6.
The win keeps Botafogo in fourth place, improving to 54 points. The team remains in the hunt to win this year's title with only five rounds remaining in the running point tournament. In the next round of play, the team will travel to face Avai on November 7.
