  How do people in your country usually eat a meal?

  In my country people love eating in groups, whether its between family or colleagues, Chinese people love getting together and sitting down to enjoy a good meal.

  Do you prefer to sit together as a family for a meal, or to eat separately? What are the benefits of doing that?

  To me, Id prefer to have lunch or dinner with my family as what we always do. You know, during the meal time were not just having food, but also chatting about and sharing the gossips happened recently. Sometimes even I have some puzzles; Id like to ask my parents during the dinner time.

  Which meal do you prefer, lunch or dinner?

  I prefer dinner. Dinner is always supper in China and we have more time to linger over conversations. I like a hearty meal with rice, vegetables and meat, dinner is the time where I can really enjoy my meal so its really important that I get a lot to eat or else I will have the urge to get some mid-night snacks which is something that I really want to avoid.

  Do you prefer to eat three full meals a day or do you prefer to eat many snacks throughout the day?

  Im definitely in favor of eating three full meals a day. I mean snacks might be tasty, but they can never provide you with needed nutrition. But sometimes if I have to miss one meal because of tight schedule or I havent had enough food in the meal, Id still grab some snacks, you know, just to maintain functional.

  Which meal of the day do you think is the most important?

  In my mind, breakfast is the most important meal because it starts your day off, and it really gets me going, without breakfast, people will not have any energy to last until lunch.

  Would you like to try any new food?

  Certainly, Im quite into food, regardless of where it comes from. Coz new food can sometimes give me a whole different taste, which is pretty amazing I guess. At the moment, I would really like to try authentic Indian cuisine especially the garlic dishes.

  Do you like cooking?

  Well, I dont have a specific fondness towards cooking, but I do know how to make a meal for myself. Cooking is a pretty important skill for individuals, especially for young people as this is a basic skill of independence.

  What kind of food do you particularly like? How often do you eat that? When was the last time you ate that?

  Italian food always grabs my appetite. I am a regular in an Italian restaurant and go there at least once a month. Usually, I order a pizza, pasta and black and white chocolate mousse as desserts.

  What food did you like to eat when you were a child?

  I liked to eat everything from scratch, and plenty of desserts, marshmallows, lollipops, cookies, and I insisted on eating junk when I was a child.

  If you had children, what foods would you recommend they eat?

  I would recommend anything homemade and low fat or fat free.

  Do you usually make that yourself or do you usually buy it?

  I like homemade food so I usually make food myself. I can make some really good food, stuff like potato salad and cookies. One day the idea popped in my head that I can make a homemade food recipes.

  When was the last time you ate junk food?

  I went to a birthday party sleepover with my BFF last Sunday, and we had all kinds of junk food like lollipops, marshmallows and French fries.

  Is there any food that you liked when you were a child but you dont like now?

  I cant stand lollipops with gum in them right now. I think its stupid but I used to think it is fun when I was a child. I dont like it also because I want to keep fit and I am looking for low-calorie, low-sugar food.

  What kinds of food are most popular in China?

  I think the Cantonese style Chinese food is popular, because the flavor is comforting and most people can accept it.

  What kinds of food do Chinese people eat?

  Different regions have different culinary traditions. People live in north eat more noodles as opposed to rice, and more meat as opposed to seafood.

  Do you think its good to take children to restaurants?

  I think homemade food is better than food in restaurants. For example, if I make burgers that will be 100% beef, not a bunch of fillers, and a higher grade with less fat. Moreover, I know exactly how fresh everything is, but the food in restaurants may have had stuff sitting around for weeks.
