体坛英语资讯:Roberto Carlos lobbys for Luis Fabiano at Corinthians
Corinthians star midfielder Roberto Carlos declared his personal intent on Tuesday to attract striker Luis Fabiano.
The team is actively searching to find a big-name striker for the 2011 season. Roberto Carlos stated that he will do everything within his power to bring Luis Fabiano back to Brazil. The striker currently plays with Spain's Sevilla FC.
Corinthians' president Andres Sanchez previously revealed that Luis Fabiano is at the top of the club's wish list. Roberto Carlos believes that the team needs to bring in an impact player in order to successfully compete in the 2011 Libertadores Cup.
The athlete confessed that the team's weakest sector is the offensive sector. For this reason, the midfielder believes that Luis Fabiano is the solution to Corinthians' problems.
According the Luis Fabiano's agent, Jose Fuentes, three clubs are currently interested in acquiring the talented striker.
However, Fuentes claimed that he will do his best in order for his client to return to play in Brazil. Should Luis Fabiano leave Sevilla, the athlete's new club would need to shell out an estimated 9 million to 12 million Euros in order to terminate his existing contract.
Fuentes hopes to be able to finalize his client's future by next week.
