体坛英语资讯:China soccer coach not sure about his job

Chinese men's soccer coach Sun Wei was not sure whether he would keep his job to the London Olympic qualifiers after his side suffered a humiliating elimination by South Korea on Monday.

"The final score was not a real reflection of the gap between two teams," said the acting coach who looked upset after the tormenting game.

Three easy goals from Kim Jung Woo, Park Chu Young and Cho Young Cheol sent South Korea to last eight in the Asian Games.

Sun reportedly would leave his position if he failed to lead his side to the quarter-finals. After South Korea game, Sun said he was uncertain about his job.

"The decision will come from the Chinese Football Association," he said. "The South Korean side is much better in strength and experience. We need to learn from the defeat for the London Olympics," said Sun.

South Korean coach Hong Myung Bo praised the opponent.

"They (China) have made some progress over the past few years. I admire some of their strategy and technical play and they have a lot of potential."

Hong admitted Park Chu-Yong's status in his team.

"It was Park's first full match," he said. "His presence is crucial."
