BEIJING, May 22 (Xinhuanet) -- Britney Spears's father has given up his full-time job so as to focus on his role as co-conservator of his troubled daughter's business affairs, according to media reports Thursday. Jamie Spears and attorney Andrew Wallet were granted temporary control of the singer's affairs in February after she was sectioned following a custody dispute at her home.

Court papers revealed that the caterer quit his job to help his daughter pull her life back.

The pop star's father will be awarded 2,500 U.S. dollars per week for the role from Britney's estate.

A request for a 10,000 dollars to cover back pay for the first month of his conservatorship was also granted, reports People.com.
